  4. What is TeXmenu? 
  5.  
  6. TeXmenu is a NeXTSTEP front end for TeX. It integrates the editor Edit, 
  7. TeX in various formats (also custom), some TeX utilities and TeXview in 
  8. one environment.

  10. Why upgrading from 2.1?
  11.  
  12. Various features have been added since version 2.1:
  13.  
  14.     -    Configureable app for launching TeX and Postscript files,
  15.         nice drag an drop,
  16.     -    expanded template handling,
  17.     -    new implemented terminal, customizeable shell,
  18.     -     TeXmenu is a living app now. It changes it's appearance while
  19.         running (watch that!),
  20.     -    various little changes making it more intuitively(?) again
  21.     -    even even nicer interface.

  24. Various features have been added since version 2.0:
  25.  
  26.     -    A project search option,
  27.     -    consistent TeX and paper format handling,
  28.     -    custom TeX formats,
  29.     -    lots of bugs have been fixed (hope so), especially the
  30.         bug crashing TeXmenu v2.0 when closing files and the english
  31.         localization,
  32.     -    actions working a bit more intuitively,
  33.     -    support for MakeIndex,
  34.     -    ^C, ^D, ^Z in the shell,
  35.     -    custom file templates,
  36.     -    reorganized preferences,
  37.     -    even nicer interface.

  52. How to install?

  54. After untaring TeXmenu2.2.tar read the README file and click on
  55. TeXmenu.pkg.
  56.  
  57. TeXmenu v2.2 in the public domain. 
  58. I do not give any further support on MakeIndex.
